Gruevski: Triumph is required - the renaissance continues

Skopje, May 26 (MIA) - Let the June 1 victory be as huge as is Macedonia's name, as enormous as our justice and truth, as large as the soul of all citizens of this country, said VMRO-DPMNE leader Nikola Gruevski at the rally of coalition "For Better Macedonia", held at Skopje square "Macedonia" late Sunday.

"The strength of the idea such as the renaissance is measured according to the self-confidence and hope among people. Without it there is no moving forward, and that is the thing they wanted us to lose. Fear is their tool", said Gruevski.

He stressed that the support for the renaissance is by miles larger than in 2006, because they have shown how the work is done and promises realized.

"The renaissance has just begun. We need victory, but not just a victory, we require a triumph. We are moving on, the renaissance continues", added the VMRO-DPMNE leader.

Gruevski voiced expectation that Schengen visas for Macedonian citizens would be annulled in 2009, whereas the renaissance would result in success in the country's Euro-Atlantic integration.

"The renaissance will result in keeping our dignity regarding the issue of Macedonia's identity, name, nation, language, roots, pride and richness", underlined Gruevski.

He announced that the focus in the next four years remained on the economy.

Leaders of other coalition parties, as well as MEPs, also addressed the rally.
