150 Kosovo Albanians arrested during protestBujanovac, 15 January 2012 (MIA) - Three Kosovo Albanian Self-Determination Movement MPs, who were arrested during a protest near the Bela Zemlja crossing Saturday, were released after questioning.
Glauk Konjufca, Liburn Aliu and Visar Imeri were released from custody and Self-Determination Movement deputy leader Aida Derguti and four other officials were remanded in custody for 48 hours.
The Self-Determination Movement supporters blocked the Merdare and Bela Zemlja administrative crossings on Saturday. They clashed with police and 150 people were arrested.
Kosovo police Spokesman Baki Kelani told Tanjug that 31 police officers and more than 20 protesters had been hurt during the protest.
